PROCESS DRIVES PROGRESS
Association Acumen’s Proven Process follows this five-step model:
- Organizational Audit
- Environmental Scan
- Strategic Alignment
- Integration
- Evaluate, Report, Assess and lastly, Repeat
It’s not rocket science, but this process, when diligently followed each year, ensures the association is moving forward in a positive direction.
Association Acumen’s onboarding process begins with an organizational audit which includes a complete review of policies and procedures, mandatory documents such as articles of incorporation and bylaws, committee/chapter structure, and an evaluation of all existing systems (meetings, membership, communications, financial). An environmental scan follows with a membership survey, competitive analysis and review of all external factors.
We then look at strategic alignment where we review the existing strategic plan and conduct an issue dissection, if necessary, focusing on issues requiring immediate attention. We continue with the implementation of the current strategic plan and determine how best to update to keep the document and plan alive.
Integration of services requires a team approach to analyze and coalesce all existing programs and activities. Evaluation and reporting are repeated annually, and include an annual contract and service review, a President’s questionnaire to evaluate Executive Director performance, an annual profit and loss and assets assessment and analysis of membership survey and engagement data.
