As we move forward into 2024, ROI is more important than ever. Companies still have tight budgets for conference attendance and people must ask themselves why they should use these limited dollars to attend your event. So, what will make you stand out?
Experience first – it is what attendees are looking for and a shift in the meetings industry. They are looking for more interaction with each other rather than someone speaking at them from the stage. Attendees also want a multitude of reasons to attend the event – make their dollars stretch further. Micro events prior to or after the event will become more common. Again, attendees are looking for experience, something more cultivated and personal, whether it is a smaller networking opportunity, workshop or giving back to the community in the host city. As always it is important to survey what your attendees are saying and take that data to make informed decisions.
