Elizabeth Schlicht, Associate Executive and Director of Digital Marketing at Association Acumen, has earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE®) designation, granted by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

She is currently Associate Executive Director for the Automotive Fleet and Leasing Association (AFLA) and served as the Membership and Marketing Manager for the National Vehicle Leasing Association (NVLA). She coordinates membership and marketing activities, supports client educational programs and conference programming and creates editorial timelines and content management for client publications, targeting appropriate audiences. She also supports Association Acumen’s online marketing and internal technology systems. She was previously Convention and Meeting Registration Manager for the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW).

“We have a strong commitment to professional development and life-long learning and we believe that this enables us to provide the best possible customer service to our association clients,” Betsy Smith, Acumen’s President, said.

Acumen periodically hosts a CAE Study Group, which has had a 100% pass rate.

“I’m honored to have earned the CAE designation,” Schlicht said. “It signifies Acumen’s pride in excellence and our dedication to strong professional growth in order to help our client associations achieve their strategic goals coupled with a personal drive for continual learning and professional evolution.”

To be designated as a Certified Association Executive, an applicant must have a minimum of three years of experience with nonprofit organization management, complete 100 hours of specialized professional development, pass a stringent examination and pledge to uphold a code of ethics. More than 4,000 association professionals currently hold the CAE credential. For more information about the CAE, visit www.asaecenter.org.
